TRANSFORMANCE Institute builds collaborative projects for periods of up to 1 year with any group, organisation or institution interested in cultural identity, cultural history, cultural literacy, pedagogy, community art and arts-education, community and organisational development, cultural and political action, and pedagogies of transformation.

These projects are developed for all levels of formation and participation in collective pedagogic processes that culminate in a final high-quality artistic or cultural product. The Institute specialises in collaborations with teenagers and adults, and with school communities of 12-19 years old.

The collective production processes guarantee the dialogic experience and learning of:

Dance narrative and dialogic storytelling
Cultural and intercultural literacy
Individual and collective transformation
Reflexive empathy and solidarity
Community-building
Cooperative production
Dialogic evaluation and planning

Projects are developed through a flexible 8 phase process read more which is coordinated in collaboration with a mediator from the host community so that the TRANSFORMANCE coordinators remain sensitive to the community's histories and culture, and the community can sustain or develop future processes, independently. The Institute works in solidarity with the host organisation, whether the project be 'remunerated' financially or through other forms of exchange.
